I have been recommended to use em or rem or % for text font sizes instead of pt. I am told this will help with scaling text to fit on responsive sites. I tried putting in a list of em font sizes in the default profile (the only active one), but the font sizes still get listed in pt.

Is the advice I have been given good advice? At the moment, I am finding that even though the template I am using is responsive, some text that fits a normal screen is too big on a responsive screen if I have sized it in pt in the jce editor, and I had hoped that using em or rem or % instead of pt would solve the problem.

Thanks

Brian

Please post a screenshot of how you have entered these values into Font Sizes parameter field.

Hello Ryan,

I must have been doing something wrong as I tried again (my browser had remembered what I typed in the box) and it worked ok this time.

I had entered:

1em, 1.1em, 1.2em, 1.3em, 1.4em, 1.5em, 1.6em, 1.7em, 1.8em,1.9em, 2.0em, 3em, 4em

Works fine now (although the font drop-down looks a bit messy at the 4em end). 🙂
