Hi there we've used JCE for YEARS and never had this issue.. I upgraded to the latest version of JCE (joomla is latest version as well) All of a sudden when you click on the <> or image upload you get a RESTRICTED error. This happens from the front only and all uaergroups including superuser... I had not changed any other settings... I'd be happy to send you login info
no, only YES for SEF URLS in global joomla config. I'm really in a pickle here.. we use the JCE editor on all our components, sobipro included and until I get this issue resolved new businesses can't add their listings and the business owner is upset. May I pm you an admin login so that you can take a look? I'd be most appreciative. I don't see a way to make this post private. Thank you for your time.

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.
I upgraded to the latest version of JCE
What version did you upgrade from?
I have installed JCE 2.5.12 on your site and I am still getting the error, which suggests that a recent change in another extension is causing the issue.
I have not seen this issue reported by other users following a Joomla update.

sorry but I'm not sure now which version I upgraded from. A few days prior to the issue I installed Jmoodle (integrates with Moodle)... So in your experience what is the best way to troubleshoot? Are there components that are more likely to conflict? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I have fixed this issue on your site.
The issue does appear to be specific to the combination of extension you have installed, which causes an issue in JCE. I was not able to isolate the exact extension causing the issue, but the fix should prevent the problem in future.
The fix will also be included in the next JCE update.

Hello
I am facing the same issue with Restricted appearing in the console and JCE editor does not appear in frontend.
I made all my test in en pre production website that i've juste updated to Joomla 3.5.1 and I installed JCE editor 2.5.16.
Everything is working fine on the production site. Maybe it's something with the updates that cause JCE not working on frontend.
Is that possible for you to take a look too ? How can I give you the login informations?
Thanks

Hi, I'm facing the same issue. I have Joomla 3.7.2 and JCE 2.6.14.
I don't have any SEF extension and I'm only using Joomla's SEF. Yet Im facing the ""Acess to this resource is restricted" error message when I clic on to upload an Image.
Can you please help me solve this issue?
Thanks!
Sorry, on a closer inspection I did have a system plugin activated: "System - NSTS - Non-SEF to SEF" (https://joomla-extensions.kubik-rubik.de/nsts-non-sef-to-sef) which was causing the trouble.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
