This seems an issue with IE11 only, as I can't reproduce it in IE9, IE10, Chromium (I assume it wouldn't happen in Chrome either) or FF.
When there's too much content inside the editor (so you get a scroll bar) and you click somewhere on empty space of that extra content, the element seems to reset and the cursor jumps to the top of editor. This only happens when you click in white space which is "outside" of the original width/height of the frame. One can swap the contents (so the bottom part to the top and vice versa) but the issue remains in the parts which are outside of the frame size.
To reproduce; IE11, put more content in the editor then the screen can show. Put a BR or P and some extra content (to create some white space to click). Click on the whitespace. You can also see that the cursor changes from a text cursor to arrow cursor.
Anyone any ideas?

The other bug seems a different issue though, in my case the cursor jumps to the top but the content doesn't move or anything.
In any case; I couldn't reproduce it in the demo site (which is good news ) and found the issue, sort of. Due to using 'margin' on P elements there was an empty space which caused this. Exchanging this with 'padding' seems to resolve the issue.
It does annoy me though that even when I edit the css in the demo site I can't reproduce it and can't find any difference between the 2 setups...might have another looksie later but for now thank you!
ps. The thing I can reproduce is when you add "body#tinymce {width:600px;}" (in the demo site), and then click in the whitespace to the right, the cursor jumps to the top. This is basicly the same behaviour I described/meant.

I have the same problem within Gantry 5 articles.
Whenever I want to put a new
oder
inside the text via "Return" oder "Shift+Return" the cursor jumps somewhere to the top.
VERY annoying if you have longer texts.
I think I have to switch back to 2.5.11, which didn't have that bug.
It occured after updating to 2.5.12

This happens to me too - I use Firefox. Anytime I use the enter key, the cursor jumps to the top of the page so I have to scroll back to where I was. It's happened since the upgrade to 2.5.12
