In am working in JOOMLA 4 (latest version) in PHP 8. I have RSFirewall installed, but I turned if off and still got the same message.

The server returned an invalid JSON response.

Sometimes it will upload one file. Often no files will upload. I can upload them one at a time.

The same error is generated (a 500 Internal Server Error) when you attempt to upload multiple images with the Joomla Media Manager too.

You will need to check your server error logs, or speak to your hosting company about what process is generating the error.
