Hello,

We are using JCE as our default editor for our Joomla 4.3.1 site. I have modified the Global Configuration>Media and added heic to these fields.

Allowed Extensions
Legal Image Extensions

Using Akeeba Tickets I can attach heic files, however, I get "File Type not supported" if I try to drag and drop an HEIC file into the editor. JPG, PNG files work fine. See attachment for screenshot.

Is there another configuration option that must be enabled to support inline HEIC files?

Thanks in advance!

These are for the Joomla Media Manager, not for JCE.

You can add new filetypes for the JCE Image Manager Extended in Editor Profiles -> Plugin Parameters -> Image Manager Extended -> Permitted File Extensions.

Please note that heic files are not supported by any browser, so will probably not be displayed when inserted using an <img> tag. - https://caniuse.com/heif

You should export the heif to jpg or similar to insert in HTML.

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Thank you....as you indicated the heic files do not display inline using <img> tag.

However, it was helpful to better understand your product.

Appreciate the prompt support!
