- profile - filesystem - a variable $articleID possible?
Specially for picts with different administrators we have a little bit confusing using file structure.
In the profile configuration different variables could be set for a kind of starting-point of the file system.
Could it be possible to have a variable for the ID of the current article,
As a result all pics of an article are stored in one dedicated directory. Independent who or when the editing is done.
Maybe this is a bad idea, don't know.

The problem with this is that an id is usually only assigned when the article is saved, so if the profile does have a custom variable option, such as an id, then that profile would only be assigned to that specific article after it has been created, or when it is edited. When creating a new article, another profile would need to be used, which would then not have the profile settings, such as the image directory, that you required.
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.
Hi Ryan,
thanks for answer. Seems it is not possible to set a different value depending of the article, which is currently opened by JCE.
Think those with a new article, which do not have an article-ID in the first step could be handled.
If those feature would be activated by site-administrator it is up to him to inform the editor-user. And for technical part it could used the value '0' for those, means pics are not lost in general. And a very friendly site-admin could move the files if a user has disregarded this. A not so friendly one could say it is your problem - pls upload the pics again ;-)
