Hi,

I work with JCE pro 2.9.50 on a joomla 4.3.4 website.
Each time I want to insert an emoticon it leads to an error message:
"0 DOMDocument::loadHTML(): Argument #1 ($source) must not be empty".
It's the firts time I get this problem with JCE.
Could you solve this problem please?

Thank you in advance.

Does this happen when you save the article?

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Exactly Ryan. The article is saved but can't be published

This error is not a reference to a JCE function.

If you are seeing this in the front-end, then I suspect that the error is caused by your template. Emoticons are Unicode characters, so it is possible that whatever is processing the content before it is being display, is having an issue processing these characters.

I'm not seeing an error like this when displaying emoji in a standard Joomla article.

OK Ryan I understand. I just want to say that this is the first time I got this problem with Joomla Cassiopeia template.
I tried using emoji with dropeditor and I have no problem after saving the article.
I tried again with TinyMCE and I get the same error 0

It might not be the template, but could be a plugin processing the content in the front-end before it is displayed.

This suggests that it is not a JCE issue, so may be caused by some front-end process.
