I have a page that has images that I want to open in the popup but text links that I want to go to Amazon and open in a new page.

Is there a way to confine the popup to images only? I see the dropdown arrow next to the link icon and the link can be inserted there but I have to get into the code to add target= "_new" for the link to open in a new tab.

I am turning this site over to a customer to maintain but the work around, having them update code, is fraught with issues.

Please advise.

When you have MediaBox installed not all links will open in a popup, only those that are configured to when they are created.

For other links, like your text links, you can set a default target for them in the JCE Editor Profiles -> Plugin Parameters -> Link, so that all new links the client creates will open in a new tab.

A better solution is to make the Mediabox not default in the Profile's Plugin Parameters. So if we want it to use it we have to select it.

It doesn't, only if you have set it to be the default.

In Editor Profiles -> Plugin Parameters -> Link, make sure the Popups "Default" option is set to "Not Set".
