JCE is extendable

Install additional plugins to extend JCE's abilities²

File Manager - Insert links to files of any type with customizable descriptions that include file date, size and icon.
Media Manager - Upload and insert media files (flash, windows media, quicktime etc), embed Youtube movies² and create popups³ to any media type! The Media Manager also includes a custom built FLV Player!
Image Manager Extended - Resize, rotate and thumbnail images on upload or after, and create create image popups³ with just a few clicks!²
Captions - Create captions around images with control over the caption container and text styling²

JCE is customizable

Using the powerful Group Manager (1.5.x only) create custom user or usertype profiles with their own image/file folders, editor layouts, buttons and plugin features.

New installation package released

The JCE Administration Component and Editor Plugin have been updated and to make the process of upgrading installing easier, a new installation package is available which installs both the Administration Component and Editor Plugin in one go! It is now also no longer necessary to remove the Editor or Administration Component, or use ftp to copy the new files over the old when upgrading, an upgrade can be done just be installing! The new package is named for the component and includes the version number of the component and the editor respectively. The current package installs Administration Component 1.5.7 and Editor Plugin 1.5.4 A special subscription package is also on the way, and a pacakge builder is in the works so you can create your own custom package containg the plugins you install most often.
