This release fixes various bugs that were unfortunately introduced in JCE 1.5.7.7. In addition to this the Paste plugin has been improved to better handle pasting from Open Office and various bugs in pasting have been fixed.
A low level security vulnerability was found in the TinyMCE script compressor. This has been removed and replaced with a custom built compressor (based on code from JCE 2.0)
Installation and updating in the Administration Component has also been improved.
Important :
- If you installed any of the patches made available after the release of JCE 1.5.7.7, you must clear your browser cache after installing JCE 1.5.7.8
- If you use the JCE Gzip Compressor you must install the Admin Component 1.5.7.8 and Editor Plugin 1.5.7.8 or preferably the JCE Installation Package 1.5.7.8
