IFrame button is not in the editor layout after install

The IFrame plugin allows users to insert iframe elements into content items. As the IFrame element can essentially load any external content into an article and therefore the site, this is a potential security issue (the IFrame plugin itself is not insecure) - the IFrame plugin should only be assigned to trusted users.

As a security precaution the IFrame button is not added to the editor toolbar when installed, unlike other plugins.

To assign the button to the editor toolbar :

  • In the JCE Control Panel, click on the Editor Profiles button.
  • Click on the 'Default' profile (or any other profile you wish tto assign the IFrame plugin to)
  • Click on the Features tab.
  • Drag the IFrame button from the Available Buttons area into the Current Editor Layout.
