Hello, now that we have hundreds of styles available to admins in the styles drop-down, it can get a bit confusing to use.

I have been wondering if it would be best to have a button next to the search button in the styles dropdown.
This new button would just toggle all of the selected styles/classes (with the small arrow to their left) to be at the top so it's easy to see what you have applied to that item without having to scroll through everything.

Is this possible?
Thanks :)

Ryan
There has been a change to the way list elements are displayed in dialogs, and this of particular importance to lists that can accept multiple values, like the Classes list (usually found in the Advanced tab of a dialog, eg: Link)

This uses a tag-style display to show the selected items, which can then be removed either by clicking on the x on each one, or by using backspace to delete / edit the value.

This might be useful for the Styles list too?

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Yes, that would be fantastic :D

Maybe have it the full width, either above or below the "path" (that we talked about in this post https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/forum/101502), so as an admin clicks on the html element, they can see the styles attached to it and easily add or remove them.

Does that sound feasible?
Thanks

A slightly different idea, but also interesting. A special "Path" for classes only...

Yes, I was imagining something like this

That way it reinforces that admins need to make sure they are applying styles to the correct html item.
I find this confuses them at first until they grasp that.

And you wouldn't need the styles box as it is now at all.

:)

I am getting somewhere with this idea, but it is likely only to make an appearance in JCE 2.8.1 or 2.8.2

That's brilliant, thank you very much :D
