Hi there,

I think I found a bug in JCE in combination with Hikashop.

When I edit a product variant I have no editor for the description. The editor is showing for the main product.
I've tested on two sides. Both same product.
I'm using JCE 2.9.14 and hikashop 4.4.3

When using TinyMCE the editor is shown in main product and variants.

I hope you can fix this or tell me what is going wrong.

With kind regards,
Rachel

I have fixed this on your site with an install of JCE Pro 2.9.15 Beta 3 - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development

Thanks Ryan!
I've applied it successfully on my other site as well.

Problem solved.

I've got the same issue with Yootheme WidgetKit 1. Using JCE Pro 2.9.15 Beta 3 doesn't fixed it.
Downgrade to a Version < JCE 2.9.14 brings back the editor.

Some changes to the way JCE scripts are loaded was necessary for Joomla 4 compatability. This change uses the defer attribute on the script tag (used on the core Tinymce scripts in Joomla 4), which delays loading of the scripts.

This is usually not a problem when other javascript referencing functions in these scripts is also delayed (using the "DOMContentLoaded" event or the JQuery "ready" event), but in WidgetKit 1 (and some other extensions), this is not the case, resulting in errors. I doubt Yootheme are going to update such an old extension.

I am looking into ways I can make this work, but it is proving to be quite a difficult task, accomodating so many 3rd party extensions that attempt to load JCE each in their own unique way.

I think I have managed to resolve this for all affected extensions in Joomla 3 and Joomla 4.

Please try JCE Pro 2.9.15 Beta 4 - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development

Hi Ryan,

the latest Beta 4 works fine with the WK1. Thanks a lot!
