HI! I have switched on Images and Links tab onto front end. The trouble is that when I click the tab and then click "select" to select a new file, I get a 404 error. I have found a workaround- in Global Config --> JCE --> Preferences --> I set the "JCE File Browser in Image Fields" to "no".

BUT I don;t like this option and I think I'm missing something simple. Please help me. Thank you.

Ryan
Which template are you using in the front-end?

I am using "Greenleaf" by prothemes purchased on MonsterOne (Template Monster).
Thank you.

Your template is using an older version of the Helix template framework, which contains an error in rendering the image select field, see - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/forum/108450#p108465

However, there does appear to be an update available for the "Helix Ultimate Framework" on your site, in Extensions -> Manage -> Update, and this might fix the problem.

Ryan, you are a star! Thank you so much. The fix was above link - changing the Helix media.php file as you suggested. I was warned not to upgrade Helix on the template so I am happy to have had this workaround. It works beautifully now :)Happy!!
