with error:
0 Class "JVersion" not found

Before this I installed JCE 2.9.38 on Joomla 5.0 Alpha1 with succes.

You need to enable the System - Backward Compatibility plugin to install JCE Pro 2.9.39+ on Joomla 5 Alpha3+

JCE Pro does not currently work in Joomla 5 Alpha.

Enabling the System - Backward Compatibility plugin allows JCE to be installed
but further down the road there are other problems, eg with JCE media box.
So I will wait untill a Joomla 5.0 stable is released.
