Hi I found in my collection of "something" this snippet:

<p><img src="https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/images/0289/workplace.jpg" alt="Workplace" usemap="#workmap" width="400" height="379" /> <map name="workmap">
		<area coords="34,44,270,350" shape="rect" title="aa" />

		<area alt="Phone" coords="290,172,333,250" shape="rect" href="https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/phone.htm" title="bb" />

		<area alt="Cup of coffee" coords="337,300,44" shape="circle" href="https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/coffee.htm" title="cc" />
	</map></p>
It defines on an JPG different areas where different tooltips/ALT and links are referenced. I'm thinking about using this feature more often the next time ... Is there a feature in JCE or in Media Box (I haven't used it yet) to create these AREAs quickly? Or is another way more "state of the art"?

At the moment, we do not offer an interactive tool to create Image Maps using the tag. Developing such a tool involves significant complexities, and so far, we haven't observed a high demand for this feature.

You can use an online tool like this - https://www.image-map.net/ - to create the HTML to paste into the editor.
