Hello,
I am using both JCE Editor Pro and DocMan on my website. However I am unable to drag / drop or upload Documents via the DocMan interface with the JCE editor loaded. JoomlaTools have investigated and tested from their end with this response:
Are you able to advise if there is a solution to tweaking the JCE code to fix the issue?
Thanks
I am using both JCE Editor Pro and DocMan on my website. However I am unable to drag / drop or upload Documents via the DocMan interface with the JCE editor loaded. JoomlaTools have investigated and tested from their end with this response:
Thank you very much for the packages, really appreciate it.
Now, big problems ... this version of JCE has a new code editor tab that's causing big trouble ... this tab is adding a form of its own and this is being done without an iframe. Apparently they've decided that it was a good idea to inject their form directly on the current document's body, which is of course already including an HTML form. Forms inside forms is no valid HTML and this causes erratic and un-expected behavior. This is basically a design problem on JCE's behalf.
We could attempt to fix this but I can assure you that other problems will arise ... let it be with DOCman or any other extension. In this particular case our JS is picking JCE's form inputs as our own and then the JS fails because I end up picking their form instead of ours. There are so many things that could go wrong with this that I cannot suggest anything else than simply disabling that code tab this pro version includes.
Normally you would render that form in such a way that it won't conflict with the wrapping markup, meaning that you would use an iframe here for this end ... but unfortunately this isn't the case at all => http://drops.arunasmazeika.com/CleanShot-2023-10-05-at-15.53.42-2x.png
We are very sorry but this won't fix. Our suggestion is to disable the rendering of the Code tab in JCE's settings.
Are you able to advise if there is a solution to tweaking the JCE code to fix the issue?
Thanks
