For some reason today, the edit field is not visible or available, How do I get this back?

This may be caused by the Ghostery browser extension, which is hiding a part of the editor due to a change or update in one of it's rules.
Disable the Ghostery extension or set the "Trust Site" option for your site.

You rock Ryan... thanks a ton... you would never know how much this helped, we run a police history site and have a final roll call page where we list officer that recently passed, if we can't list the family feels bad, it is as if we don't think their family was important. and we had no way to let them know it wasn't them it was just a hiccup n the system. So you saved a lot of hurt feelings. So again thank you
